BLESSINGS FOR BREAKFAST

The Outreach Committee is working towards its goal of serving breakfast every month at Columbus House. The schedule is set for 2012 and the number of breakfasts being served has increased from six in 2011 to eight in 2012.

Now for the blessings-the Committee has received $750 in grant money from the Walmart Foundation from their campaign for Hunger Relief. The Walmart Foundation has made a $2 billion dollar commitment through 2015 to aid hunger relief in the United States. This money will pay for almost all of our breakfasts in 2012 but that does not mean we do not still need donations from the parish - donations of time! We will need help with cooking on the Saturday before serving breakfast and then additional volunteers to cook and serve at Columbus House on Sunday morning.

This is such a wonderful mission, we urge each and every one of you to volunteer and come to Columbus House one Sunday morning and experience it for yourselves.
